It's been a while since then, but I wanted to thank everyone who helped and asked about Kaworu-kun when he went missing. Seeing how many people care and how much he means to you all was nice . And he's fine, don't worry. So...thank you, again.

Well, it's...I know you're very smart. You were able to find Kaworu-kun all the way in Tokyo-3 and I've seen you around for a long time helping others all the time. So, please. Be honest.

talk about being caught between a rock and a hard place. if Kaworu hasn't told him... or maybe Shinji hasn't ask him? either way, he doesn't want to betray his friend. but the thing is, Shinji's noticed, and he has a right to know what's going on. or as much of it as he can tell, anyway. ]

To be honest with you, Shinji, I'm not really sure myself. Or well, not of the specifics, anyway. You know how Kaworu is, getting him to talk about himself is like pulling teeth and talking to a brick wall all at the same time. All I can say for sure is that while he was gone, he was time-travelling. I couldn't tell you how or why, or even what he was doing outside of that, but whatever he got up to while it was happening must have been pretty big.

I couldn't tell at first, but the way he looks at some things and the way he smiles--that wasn't how he was before. Don't get me wrong, sir, just having him back is wonderful. Still.

Time traveling? I didn't even know he could do that. So would that mean he went back to Tokyo-3 before....you know?

I dunno, but if I was gonna make an educated guess, that's what I'd say. Must be a different kind of time-travel to the sort I'm used to dealing with in that case, mind.

The kind that has rules in place to stop this sort of thing, to be frank. Where I come from, crossing your own timeline into events you're already a part of isn't impossible, but you still shouldn't do it. Way too much chance of causing a paradox and inadvertently causing the collapse of the universe. Time is - it's kind of like a giant three-dimensional scribble all tangled up in itself. There's points where you can interfere with events without too much trouble and there's points that absolutely must not be changed because they're like the lynchpins of reality. And then there's your own personal timeline which has its own set of rules, the most important of them being that whatever you're thinking about doing with it, don't.

Oh, everything's been fine. Kaworu-kun's gone back to work with no problems. I'm still--uh, here. Studying for high school entrance exams and stuff like that.

It's not really any time. I should have been in high school a while ago. ...things happened, instead. Now it feels like I should get back to living my life instead of hiding away.

But that's just what I think.
